Jack Jeffery has had his loan with Conference outfit Cambridge United extended by a further month.

The young striker joined former Hammer Jimmy Quinn at the Conference promotion hopefuls at the end of February and has made five appearances for the Us - although is yet to open his goalscoring account.

Former United striker Quinn opted to extend Jeffery's loan due to an injury to regular first-teamer Lee McEvilly. The 18-year-old striker is set to partner another former Hammer, Lee Boylan, as Cambridge seek to confirm their place in this season's play-offs.

The Us are next in action on Monday evening, when they face a trip to mid-table Ebbsfleet United.
