Harry Redknapp has offered Portuguese trialist Dino Jorge a permanent contract at the club after the young full back impressed during his recent spell with the Hammers.

Jorge, 19, has appeared in some of the pre-season friendlies and has done enough to earn himself a full-time spot at Upton Park.

Redknapp watched yesterdays Barnet game with Jorge's agent, and they continued their discussion after the match to confirm contract terms.

Redknapp said earlier today: ""He's doing really well here. He's a strong lad with a good attitude and a good game. I would expect him to fit in and make an impression with the fans."

Jorge is not currently tied to any other club and is therefore available on a free. Assuming he agrees terms he will become the clubs fifth signing of the summer - following in the footsteps of Freddy Kanoute, Nigel Winterburn, Davor Suker and Hayden Foxe.
