Lampard's a happy Hammer

West Ham midfielder Frank Lampard has spoken out in the wake of constant transfer speculation to confirm how much he is currently enjoying his football at Upton Park.

Lampard Junior, looking forward to his fifth season as part of the first team set up is looking forward to the new season with high expectations.

He hit out at rumours linking him with several other clubs when he declared: ""I'm West Ham through and through, and I am happy to stay."

But despite his current contentment he also added that one day he may look to pastures new in order to further his career, when he said: "I'm not saying I will be here for the rest of my life - nowadays it's very rare for an individual to remain at the same club for the whole of his career."

Frank admitted he had watched the media circus regarding himself and friend Rio Ferdinand with much amusement over the summer. As well as this the two pals had to endure an expose by the tabloids of their summer holiday antics whilst in clubbers paradise Ayia Napa, which led to a stern talking to from Harry Redknapp.

But Lampard has put all this behind him now, and is looking forward to the coming season with a renewed belief that the club could be on the verge of something big - should they keep the current squad intact.

He added a cautionary note following rumours that the club may be willing to listen to offers from abroard for pal Rio.

If the club begin selling its best players then we would be taking a step backwards" he said.
