Rush on for Rushden tickets

Filed: Wednesday, 9th August 2000

Those fans wishing to watch tonight's game at Rushden & Diamonds may have a battle on their hands to obtain tickets according to the ticket office.

A spokesman for the club told us that West Ham returned only 85 tickets from their total allocation. These are being made available for fans who turn up on the night - the ticket office will open at 6pm.

The conference club are expecting close on a capacity crowd for the game - the Nene Park stadium boasts an impressive 6,635 capacity.

However, a spokesman for Rushden told us that should there be more demand than anticipated, there will be other sections of the ground that can be made available to accomodate extra fans - although he refused to confirm how many extra tickets this would entail.

Best bet is to check with the ticket office before departure - you can contact them by calling (01933) 652000.

Prices for the Rushden End (the away stand) are £7.50 for adults, £4 for under 16's and over 65's, and £2 for the under 12's. The Rushden End is standing only.
