The Irish FA have had an about turn following their decision to demand Steve Lomas travels to Northern Ireland in order to prove he was suffering from injury.

Northern Ireland boss Sammy McIlroy confirmed this morning that Lomas will not now have to prove his injury, and that the Irish FA are satisfied that Lomas' injury is genuine.

The IAF has requested that Lomas, and Leicester's Gerry Taggart and Neil Lennon travel to Ireland for a full medical examination. But after protests from the clubs involved the IAF decided to drop their demand.

Lomas is still touch and go for Saturday's game with Chelsea; he has been suffering from tendonitis for the past week.
