Youngster Matthew Fry has been left out of the squad that will travel to Switzerland this weekend.
The first team squad travel to Switzerland for the Uhren Cup, which begins this weekend. However one player definitely not on board is the young full-back.Speaking via Twitter this morning, the 20-year-old confirmed he had been omitted from the travelling party. "Left out of the tour to Switzerland with no explanation. My recovery session is done and now for lunch," he said.
Meawhile it has been suggested that Fry could be joined by striker Carlton Cole, who is said to be close to sealing a move to Stoke City. The final squad for Switzerland is expected to be confirmed later today.
West Ham open their Uhren Cup campign on Monday night when they face Swiss side BSC Young Boys.
Their second and final game in the round robin tournament takes place two days later on Wednesday, 13th July against FC Basel, who recently signed ex-Hammer Radoslav Kovac.
