Stoke City and West Ham United have agreed a fee for striker Carlton Cole.

Stoke, who have been chasing the 27-year-old for some time finally had an offer accepted by West Ham this lunchtime folllowing a string of rejected bids.

However the player himself - who recently signalled his desire to remain at the Boleyn - is yet to agree personal terms, with the two parties said to be some distance away from reaching agreement.

Stoke Chairman Peter Coates, speaking this afternoon (Tuesday) told Sky Sports News: "We have agreed terms with West Ham, that's done. Now it's a case of can we agree terms with Carlton".
