Zavon Hines has thanked West Ham fans for their support on the day his move to Burnley was confirmed.
As revealed here on KUMB.com on Monday, Hines has completed a permanent switch to United's Championship rivals. The 22-year-old striker has signed a two-year deal with the Clarets. However Hines still found time to thank Hammers fans for their support during his time at the club - whilst revealing that he felt unwanted by the new management team, led by Sam Allardyce.
"I'm sad to [be leaving] West Ham but I wasn't wanted at the club," he told followers on Twitter. "That's why I didn't play any games in pre-season, so I hope you can understand.
"I would like to thank all the West Ham fans for all the support and nice Tweets, I love the club and that will never change."
In a rather more formal interview on Burnley's club site tonight, he added: "I need a fresh start and I am looking forward to playing for Burnley. It's all about me playing football now.
"It seems like a good club to me so it wasn't really hard to decide to come here. I think I can do a lot in the Championship for Burnley."
