The opposition view: Leeds Utd

Understandably happy with the point secured courtesy of Adam Clayton's last-gasp equaliser at the Boleyn this afternoon, Leeds fans were full of praise for their team's efforts...

"A draw seems fair for me. We were best after they scored, they were best after we equalised. Lots of ifs and could-have-beens in the match; missed penalties, the tackle on White in the second half by Parker looked 50-50 too. But I'm happy to get a point at West Ham."

"A fine performance and we fully deserved to get a point out of that match. First time I've seen West Ham and I wasn't overly-impressed. It may have been the pressure we put them under but their defending was panic-stricken and awful for the most. If that aspect of their game is indicative of this season for them they will not be going up."

"Fair result, good performance. Gradel was superb, apart from the missed penalty. Clayton overshadowed both Nolan and Parker."
- Guildford White

"Played them off the park today, [there] won't be many teams that get anything at West Ham after going a goal down twice. [The] lads were tremendous, definitely happy with the point. Thought Paddy and Snoddy looked a little off the pace at times, but the Hammers are a class act and you can't be on top all the time. "

"Quite pleased with the result. I really expected the bubble blowers to give us a bit of a whipping. Glad of a point today."

"OK, so I am Mr Rose Coloured Spectacles, but we absolutely Hammered them (pun intended). Scott Parker aside, we nailed them. I still believe West Ham will get an automatic promotion place this year, so our performance should be judged in that light - and we were the better team."

"Before the match, we would have all taken a draw. After, we all know we left two points on the field. But to have left all three would have been a disaster. We were very unlucky and still got a draw away against the league favorites. Well done!"

"We've gone to Upton Park to play a freshly-relegated West Ham side who started with Mark Noble, Kevin Nolan, and Scott Parker in their midfield and Carlton Cole up front - and then brought John Carew off the bench. The only reason we haven't won is an own goal and a missed penalty."
- Silky

"Yet again another masterful performance from young Adam Clayton. I've said it several times already, he reminds me of Lee Bowyer. A power-packed player with energy to burn, plays the ball quick and once again controlled the midfield today, overshadowing Parker and Nolan."

"Max Gradel got too greedy today, I'm afraid. I love his runs but he shouldn't be doing it alone when there are other options. I also feel he shouldn't be taking penalties. He seems too passionate, or emotionally involved, to attack it with a clear head. "
