Robins fans were almost universal in agreement that they fully deserved a share of the spoils from last night's game...
"A great night. Last time I was here was 1978. I watched the game from the Bobby Moore stand with a couple of Hammers mates. Found myself humming away to 'Bubbles' before kick-off - that did make the hair stand up on the back of my neck - but then took great pride in the noise coming from the away end.
We defended out of our skins and the back four were superb. Yes, they got behind us in the first half with their overlapping down both flanks but didn't really hurt us. One observation was that both linesman would only flag once the ref had given his decision, it was quite comical really. A very honest game played in a good spirit.
A fantastic point against a team who scored seven goals in their last two homes games."

"Second [in the table] and favourites to go up were held to a nil-nil draw. By Bristol City. Our boys in red. Tonight's performance should give us fans confidence and pride in our team spirit. They played spectacularly, and looked in my opinion dangerous on the break. By this performance I feel we will be on our way back up the table, so a big thank you to our players and manager. If we play as we did tonight with the determination and confidence with in the players we should get back on track."

"What a transformation. We are organised, the ball is played more often than not on the floor and to feet and it's good to watch. Last night was a rearguard action, but we did pose considerable threat to a very strong pseudo Premier League outfit - and had we nicked it at the end it would have been the perfect smash and grab peroformance. Great atmosphere in the ground last night and a lot of pride from team and fans alike, great stuff."

"Last night was my first away game since Derby a few seasons back and I've got to admit probably the best atmosphere I have been in at away game. Absolutely electric from the first minute to the last."

"David James didn't make one exceptional save or a technically difficult save either. Nine corners for the home side, seven for the away side, each side hitting the post. Eight shots on target for the home side, seven for the away side. West Ham a great club, great stewarding last night but don't be alarmed, automatically promoted sides rarely take six points from us."
- Geoff, Bristol
"A superb atmosphere at the Boleyn tonight and we more than deserved our point. Our defensive display was far superior to their attacking one. Del is clearly a master tactician. he got it spot on tonight and we could indeed have nicked it especially at the death."

"Although we rode our luck on a few occasions, we actually caused them problems as well. I've seen enough poor managers at City to realise that a new manager does not necessarily mean improvement and its early days but at least we have some spirit, belief and tactical understanding in the camp and a manager that seems far more dynamic. Last night's result is a massive lift for the players, the fans and the club - and was no fluke."
- Tales From The Front
"A clean sheet against West Ham is simply superb. It's safe to say we would have shipped two or three if we played this fixture a few weeks ago. Even if we'd conceded at the death, it would have been a performance to be proud of. Onwards and upwards!"

"Left the ground straight away and no problems at all. Fans mixing and talking about the match. However as we got to the entrance of the [tube] station we heard a bit of a roar and saw the Police running off down Green Street. Could well have got a bit nasty but obviously have no idea. Looked like lots of West Ham families running towards the station but that was all I saw. Don't let that take the gloss of a superb away performance. "

"Hull lost, which means we are only 14 points off the playoffs now..."
