Mark Noble has been crowned Hammer of the Year at tonight's swanky awards ceremony at the London Hilton.

Tonight's bash, to which most fans were priced out of attending with tickets costing up to £275 saw the 24-year-old named as the latest recipient of the award that has been running since 1958.

Noble narrowly beat central defender James Tomkins into second place, with goalkeeper Robert Green coming in third.

It was the first time that the Canning Town-born midfielder has won the award, which was first won by Andy Malcolm at the end of the 1957/58 promotion season.

Voting for KUMB.com's 15th annual awards will open next week. Stay tuned for more details.
