Everton are reported to have offered veteran defender Sylvain Distin plus cash for West Ham's Winston Reid.
Reid, who is out of contract at West Ham this summer has been the subject of plenty of speculation today, whilst West Ham's interest in the 37-year-old centre half was made public this morning.This evening it emerged (via SkySports) that Everton have offered Distin to the Hammers - in exchange for the Kiwi defender (plus an as-yet-unknown sum), who has been strongly linked with both Arsenal and Tottenham in recent weeks.
Everton's interest is likely to prove fruitless however, for West Ham have already confirmed that no first team players would be sold during January.
Additionally Reid, who has spent the last four years at West Ham, has already privately indicated that he'd prefer to remain in London.
