Earlier in the day It was revealed by David Sullivan's youngest son Jack that the arrival of West Ham's new manager will be complemented by one major signing.

However KUMB has learned that the club could be set to confirm two new arrivals, with both Sampdoria's Pedro Obiang and Marseille forward Andre Ayew close to completing moves to the Boleyn Ground.

25-year-old Ayew has been linked with a string of clubs this summer having allowed his contract at Marseille to expire. As well as West Ham fellow Premier League clubs Tottenham, Liverpool and Newcastle are all said to have expressed an interest in signing the Ghanaian.

Meanwhile Obiang, 23, is said to have been persuaded to join the claret and blue revolution after his current club Sampdoria accepted an offer worth in the region of £5million. He was first linked with a move to the Boleyn Ground in the last transfer window.

Sullivan Jnr confirmed earlier this afternoon that the club will reveal the identity of West Ham's new manager "within the next 48 hours".
