Nottingham Forest's winger Michail Antonio is the latest target on West Ham's radar as the transfer window draws ever nearer to next Tuesday's deadline.

The 25-year-old wide man, who began his career at Tooting & Mitcham United is reported to have been the subject of a £4million offer from West Ham, who have also included Matt Jarvis on a season-long loan as a makeweight in the deal.

However BBC East MIdlands Today reporter Natalie Jackson has claimed that Forest will reject West Ham's offer as it fails to come close to their valuation of the player.

Antonio is something of a late developer having initially failed to impress at Reading, to whom he moved from Tooting in 2008. Following several loan spells with lower league clubs, he was snapped up by Sheffield Wednesday in 2012.

Following two relatively-successful years at Hillsborough, Forest moved to snap the promising wide-man up a year ago this month in a £1.5million deal. Both West Bromwich Albion and Derby County have also seen bids for Antonio rejected this summer.
