West Ham have completed their third signing of the last 24 hours with the capture of Nikica Jelavic from Hull City.

Following the arrivals of Alex Song and Victor Moses, the former Everton and Hull striker was pictured at the Boleyn Ground this morning holding up his new shirt.

Jelavic - who is being signed as an emergency back-up whilst the likes of Andy Carroll, Enner Valencia and Mauro Zarate are sidelined - was initially interested in moving to the Boleyn Ground three years ago following United's relegation from the Premier League.

Speaking back in January 2012, he told the Scottish Sun: "West Ham are a great club. They are not a second division club —-they are a famous Premier League club who happened to be relegated and will return to the Premier League next season.

"It would be nice to play there if the opportunity comes up and the club agrees."

Jelavic, 30, is understood to have cost West Ham around £2.5million. He has signed an initial two-year contract with an option for a further two-year extension, should it suit all parties.
