He only scored four times in 78 Premier League appearances for West Ham - but Matt Jarvis is already off the mark for new club Norwich City.
The on-loan Hammer scored Norwich's third goal against fellow Premier League newcomers Bournemouth at Carrow Road this afternoon, midway through the second half on his debut for the Canaries. And it was a great strike too, from a player whose most recent goal for West Ham came in a 3-1 defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates nearly 18 months ago.
Picking up the ball from team mate Jonny Howson, Jarvis cut inside a defender before curling the ball into the far corner of Artur Boruc's goal - the kind of move that persuaded Sam Allardyce to part with around £7.5million when signing the former Wolves winger three years ago last month.

Jarvis' new club went on to win the game 3-1 - a victory that takes them above West Ham into eighth place in tonight's fledgling Premier League table.
The Hammers - now down to tenth as a result of today's matches - have the opportunity to overtake the Canaries once again when they face Newcastle at the Boleyn Ground on Monday evening.
