West Ham United join Europe's elite

West Ham United have been listed 19th in a list of the most valuable clubs in Europe, according to a new survey.

The poll, conducted by the London School of Marketing has the Hammers scraping into the continent's elite with an estimated value of ?196million.

However the Hammers are still only the eighth most-valubale Premier League club, according to the LSE - coming behind the two Manchester clubs, three London clubs, Liverpool and Newcastle United.

England are the best represented nation on the list, although the top places are dominated by Spanish clubs with Real Madrid top of the pile and Barcelona third, behind the Premier League's Manchester United.

Italy are next best represented with four clubs on the list, whilst Germany and Spain have three clubs each listed. France (Paris St Germain) and Turkey (Gala) take up the remaining spots.
