Junior cherishing Irons visit

Former Iron Junior Stanislas says he is looking forward to welcoming some old team mates to the South Coast tonight when current club Bournemouth host the Hammers.

Stanislas, who is enjoying the most productive season of his career for the Cherries was a product of Tony Carr's world-famous Youth Academy. He left West Ham in 2011 to join Burnley where he spent three years before teaming up with Bournemouth.

And the 26-year-old admits that he will be pleased to bump into one or two old pals ahead of kick-off tonight, when the two clubs meet in the Premier League.

"A few of the lads that I grew up playing with are still there," he told afcb.co.uk. "Lads like Mark Noble, James Tomkins and quite a few of the staff. But it's obviously a long time now since I left.

"If I am honest, I havenít really thought about it too much. But once it gets to the evening and I see a few familiar faces then I am sure it will be good.

"At the moment I am just focussing on what is going to be a tough and physical game. They've got a couple of big players in their team so we have to focus on playing our game and getting the ball down to pass it."

Stanislas scoring on his professional debut back in 2009

Stanislas, who made 47 appearances for the Hammers after signing pro terms in 2008 has scored five goal for Bournemouth so far this term in just 14 appearances.

"Personally I am really enjoying being in the team at the moment," he added. "I've had my fair share of time out of it, so now itís all about just doing the best I can and contributing in every game."
