Byram on his way

West Ham are set to complete the signing of defender Sam Byram from Leeds - and under the nose of Everton.

West Ham made a late swoop to steal the youngster, who had appeared set for a move to Goodison Park this time last week, from the Blues.

The 22-year-old is now expected to complete a £3.7million move to the Boleyn Ground within the next 48 hours. He is believed to have been swung by West Ham's promise of first team football, which Everton couldn't provide.
