Mauro Zarate is poised to complete a move to Italy's Serie A later this week, KUMB understands.

The Argentine striker has become increasingly disillusioned with life at West Ham since falling down the pecking order and recently indicated his desire to move to a club who can guarantee him regular first team football.

And Zarate looks set to have his wish granted within the next few days after West Ham and Fiorentina reached an agreement regarding a permanent deal for the 28-year-old forward.

Although the fee involved remains undisclosed at present, West Ham will make a profit on a player who was signed on a free transfer from Vélez Sarsfield in the summer of 2014.

Since then Zarate has made 29 appearances for the Hammers having also spent four months on loan at Queens Park Rangers in the second half of last season (2014/15).
