West Ham striker Mauro Zarate has flown to Italy ahead of talks with Serie A club Fiorentina.

The Argentine forward flew to Italy this morning where he is expected to agree terms on a permanent switch to the Florence-based club.

Zarate - who will cost Fiorentina in the region of ?1.7million - was pictured leaving the airport this lunchtime where he was happy to stop and talk with Italian media, who had plenty of questions for him.

Should Zarate complete his move to Fiorentina it will be his second spell in Serie A, following his time at Lazio and then with Inter, who he joined on loan for the 2011/12 season.

KUMB exclusively revealed yesterday that West Ham had granted Fiorentina permission to talk with Zarate, after the two clubs agreed transfer terms.
