West Ham Ladies celebrated their first and final ever appearance at the Boleyn Ground last night with a 1-0 win over neighbours Tottenham.
The only goal of the game was score by Hammers captain and Woman of the Match Katie Bottom - who was also celebrating her birthday - from the penalty spot, as the Ladies emulated the mens' result from a week earlier.A healthy crown of just over 1,700 - which exceeded the 1,695 attendance figure League Two mens team Dagenham & Redbridge attracted for their 0-0 draw with Carlisle a few miles up the A13 - congregated in the West Stand Lower to watch the Hammers beat Spurs.
Congratulations @westhamladies you did us proud. Well done. dg
