Tony Carr believes West Ham are favourites to proceed to the semi finals of the FA Cup.

Academy legend Carr, speaking exclusively on this week's KUMB Podcast insisted that Slaven Bilic's side have what it takes to see off Louis Van Gaal's side, who arrive at the Boleyn fresh from a whipping at Spurs.

"I feel confident," he told presenters Chris Scull and Bianca Westwood. "The momentum is with us what with the build-up to the final games, the form we're in at the moment and the performance we're putting in. We've also got goals in the team.

"Although Man United and Tottenham have the best defences in the Premier League they conceded three goals on Sunday [at WHite Hart Lane]. But, it's going to be tough to score and I don't see it as a high scoring game.

"I see it as a 1-0 or 2-1, hopefully to us! Although I believe if we get to the semis, we'll go all the way."

Carr, who has been at the heart of West Ham Academy since 1973 was supported in his view by co-host Westwood, who also predicts a West Ham win.

"As Tony says we've gopt the momentum and we're confident," she said. "If decisions don't go against us - because of the old conspiracy! - then anything can happen. And when you've got someone like Payet whop can score those free kicks for fun ..."
