Dimitri Payet's wonder free kick against Manchester United in the quarter finals of the FA Cup at Old Trafford has been named as the FA Cup Goal of the Season.

Payet's stunning 35-yard free kick - which was also voted by KUMB readers as their runner-up Goal of the Season - beat off the challenge of seven other sublime finishes to win the award, as voted for by BBC viewers throughout the day.

There was further good news for the Hammers today following Manchester United's 2-1 extra time Wembley win, for it guaranteed the club passage into the third qualifying round of the Europa League.

That's the same stage at which West Ham were knocked out by Romanian champions Astra Guirgiu last season.
