West Ham are set to return with one final bid for Lyon star Alazndre Lacazette after a record-breaking £32million bid was rejected by Lyon.

ammers chiefs have been told 'non' by Lyon CEO Jean-Michel Aulas, despite offering to double West Ham United's current record transfer fee in their latest attempt to land the 24-year-old goalscorer.

However it is understood that the club will return with one final offer in a bid to lure Lacazaette - who is rated around the £40million mark by Aulas and Les Gones - to the Olympic Stadium.

The budget-busting fee could be partially recouped by selling Diafra Sakho, who continues to be linked with a move to Sunderland and a reunion with former boss Sam Allardyce.

West Ham are seeking in the region of £15million for the former Metx star, although the Black Cats are understood to have offered just £8million with a further £3million dependent on certain clauses being activated.
