Reece Oxford is set to join Championship side Reading on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 18-year-old was expected by many to break into the first team picture at West Ham this season but his development has been hampered by a number of minor injuries. And that has led to Slaven Bilic sanctioning a move to the Royals, having snubbed a similar offer from Nottingham Forest hours earlier.
At Reading, Oxford will work under former Dutch international Jaap Stam - a factor that is believed to have played a major part in Bilic's decision to send the teenager to Berkshire, as opposed to Nottingham.
