Redknapp confirms Dailly capture

Hammers boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed that he will sign Blackburn defender Christian Dailly in a £1.7m deal - as KUMB revealed yesterday.

Redknapp is quoted in today's press as saying:

"I've got Christian for £1.7m plus Keller - which is good because Blackburn paid £5.5m for him.

"He's a regular for Scotland and can play in many positions. I also wanted a sturdy centre-half."

Dailly has been out of favour with Graeme Souness of late, but Redknapp has no doubt that the big Scot (Dailly that is) can still do it at Premiership level.

Marc Keller, rated at around £500,000 goes the other way as part of the deal, which is a relief for Redknapp as he has been trying to unload the 32-year-old since the beginning of the season.
