West Ham Utd 1-0 Swansea City

West Ham's relegation worries were eased this afternoon thanks to Cheikhou Kouyate's goal on the stroke of half time.

Just as the natives were beginning to get restless, after what had been a goalless half prior to the Senegal international's intervention, Kouyate smashed home the only goal of the game to secure West Ham's first win in eight matches.

And the three points were good enough to lift Slaven Bilic's side up to 14th place and, crucially, eight points away from the drop zone and today's visitors, who remain third from bottom following the narrow defeat.

We'll have a full match report for you soon.
