Reid not for sale, insist West Ham

West Ham will reject any offers for central defender Winston Reid, following reports that Everton are poised to make a bid.

The Mail reported at the weekend that the cash-rich Merseysiders were ready to offer ?9million for the 29-year-old Kiwi international, who is contracted to West Ham until 2021.

However the Hammers are determined to resist any efforts to lure Reid to Goodison Park - as is the case with Manuel Lanzini, who has been linked with a move to Everton's neighbours Liverpool.

Although he signed a four-year contract (with a two-year option) in 2015, a new contract for the Argentine international - who cost West Ham ?9million - is on the cards in order to stave off interest from elsewhere.

Liverpool are likely to move for Lanzini should Barcelona come in for for Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho, for whom a move to Spain has been cited in recent weeks.
