West Ham's latest disastrous Premier League outing ended in angry scenes as thousands of supporters gathered around the Directors' Box to remonstrate with David Sullivan and David Gold.

By the time the final whistle was blown, that West Ham had been beaten 3-0 at home by Burnley was merely a footnote to a hugely controversial afternoon that will almost certainly have repercussions for the club after the match was interrupted several times by fans entering the field of play.

West Ham, clearly the better team for the first hour of the match were punished for their profligacy as the visitors struck three times in the last 30 minute to claim all three points and send the Hammers spiralling towards the relegation zone.
