Manuel Lanzini is considered 50/50 for tomorrow's vital Premier League clash against Southampton.
The Argentine international missed his nation's 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Spain in midweek as a result of a knee injury sustained in an earlier friendly against Italy, a week ago today.Embed from Getty Images
However David Moyes will wait until the last possible minute before making a decision on whether or not to include the 25-year-old in his match day squad; prior to this morning, Lanzini hadn't trained since returning from international duty.
There was however a more positive update on the injury front for Moyes with the news that James Collins - who pulled up during the first half of West Ham's 3-1 friendly win at Dagenham & Redbridge last week - has passed a fitness test and is expected to feature against The Saints.
And forgotten man Edimilson Fernandes - who has been out of action for four months with an ankle injury - is also expected to be named in the 18-man match day squad having featured for Switzerland's Under 21s on Tuesday.
