Stoke boss Paul Lambert cut a frustrated figure as he reflected on what he considered to be two points dropped in their battle against relegation.

Andy Carroll stepped off the bench to fire a 90th equaliser for West Ham after Peter Crouch has given the visitors the lead, very much against the run of play, little more than ten minutes earlier.
