West Ham United were once known as "everybody's second favourite football team".

However that is no longer the case after a recent survey found that the Hammers are the Premier League's fourth most-hated team.

Coming in narrowly behind Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool, who make up the top three, West Ham lead the rest with 47.6 per cent of those surveyed stating they "hate" the club.

The survey was completed by the Mirror and its sister publications, although specific numbers of how many supporters from each Premier League team responded are not recorded.
