Shut up, you balloon! [audio]

Former Hammers boss Sam Allardyce became embroiled in a row with Talksport presenter Ian Abrahams live on air this morning as the pair clashed over West Ham's style of football during the former's tenure.

Allardyce, a guest on the Alan Brazil breakfast show reacted angrily to a suggestion from Abrahams - aka 'Moose' - that Hammers fans had been starved of entertainment during his four-year spell as manager.

"Let's imagine you win 1-0 against ten men at home and then after the game, as you walk off, what happened Sam?" asked Abrahams, presumably in reference to the 2-1 win over Hull in March 2014 following which Allardyce cupped his ear to booing fans as he left the pitch.

However the presenter was cut off by Brazil and 'Big Sam' who retorted "shut up you balloon!" - before entering into something of a rant against the club and its supporters.

"Did we win?" asked the 64-year-old unemployed coach. "Have you been playing the West Ham way recently? When was the last time West Ham played the West Ham way? It's only the mischievous few that start the ball rolling."

And Allardyce then proceeded to take a swipe at posters on the KUMB Forum who were less than entirely supportive of his appointment at the club. "You all know that on Knees up Mother Brown they all start," he added. "There you go."

The exchange ended with Allardyce exclaiming "get him off air while I'm on and don't put him on air with me again!" in reference to Abrahams. You may hear the full conversation below.
