Lucas Perez could be on his way to the Bundesliga ahead of the transfer deadline following a late offer from Schalke 04.
The German side, currently 12th in the Bundesliga after 19 games are reported to have made a bid to sign the former Arsenal striker, initially on loan with view to making the deal permanent at the end of the current season.Embed from Getty Images
West Ham, who would also receive a loan fee as part of the agreement are currently considering the offer, according to the BBC's David Ornstein.
The 30-year-old was not involved in last night's 3-0 defeat at Wolves, a match that saw fellow forward Marko Arnautovic limp off with an injured foot following a second half challenge.
Perez has made just 14 appearances for West Ham since moving from Arsenal in a £4million switch last summer, scoring five goals.
