Enough is enough, say fans

Marko Arnautovic's time at West Ham should be at an end according to supporters, who have delivered a damning verdict following the player's latest outburst.

Arnautovic and his brother, Danijel, were at it again yesterday with the latter, Marko's agent, rather bizarrely claiming that his handsomely-remunerated sibling was effectively being treated like cattle by West Ham.

"He’s not a cow or a horse which you bring to market," the agent told Sky Sports on Tuesday. "He’s a highly talented footballer who’s simply being used by West Ham. He’s just a number to them.

"West Ham were trying to get rid of Marko right up until the last minute of the January transfer window and they are still trying to sell him right now. They are still speaking to the Chinese club; he is still for sale and it’s simply a case of how much money West Ham can get for him."

And for many fans posting on the KUMB Forum, tired off the antics of Marko and his agent brother, that was the final straw. "I thought at the time that we should have sold him in January," wrote EastVillageHammer.

"Get rid and reclaim the wages to go elsewhere. Really and truly, he will be a hindrance to us in the reserves, rotting or otherwise. If we start the season with Arnie stinking the place out, it will ruin all the optimism that comes with the first few weeks."

Humbug was equally unimpressed by the brothers' conduct. "There are bad apples and rotten apples," he wrote. "Arnie has form for being a rotten one, no matter how good he can be when he's committed.

"But he's getting older and he spends a lot of time sulking about how good he thinks he is compared to his teammates. Get rid ASAP, otherwise he will cause ructions in the camp!"

And even some of Arnautovic's former backers had reluctantly reached the conclusion that his time at the club should be at an end. "I’ve been one of his most staunch defenders," wrote Forum member E17.

"But in truth it’s boring and he’s definitely not the world class legend he thinks he is. He’s a hot and cold striker who had a purple patch under David Moyes. I just hope we get loads of money for the sop."
