West Ham United have made their seventh signing of the close season, Norwegian international Cecilie Kvamme.

The 23-year-old will take the number 2 shirt for Matt Beard's side having signed from IL Sandviken half way through their league campaign, where she made nine appearances.

Before spending half a season with IL Sandviken Kvamme began her career with Arna-Bjorna, making 136 appearances, scoring 12 goals.

Kvamme has enjoyed a strong career in her native country, playing for Norway in the 2019 Algarve cup success and being called up to the Norwegian squad for the recent World Cup. The Right-Back has made three appearances for her country.

Kvamme - who will have Redisch - on her kit shirt told West Ham's website: "It is a dream come true to sign for West Ham United and to be able to come and play in the Women's Super League. It was an easy decision to come here.

"I like the philosophy the club holds, and I like the way that the team wants to play. I'm really excited for the season to start and I'm excited to play in front of the West Ham fans."

Head coach Matt Beard, speaking following the acquisition of West Ham's new full back added: "I am delighted to welcome Cecilie to West Ham United.

"She joins us after representing her national team at the Women's World Cup in France and will bring experience, pace and tenacity to our defence.

"With Cecilie's signing I believe we have displayed our continued intent to strengthen our team and improve on our successful first season in the WSL. I look forward to seeing what Cecilie offers for us on the pitch this season."

Kvamme joins six other new Hammers in hoping to improve on the club's maiden season in the Women's Super League last season.
