Manuel Pellegrini says that West Ham are hoping to win their first home game of the season when they tackle newly-promoted Norwich City in Stratford this weekend.

West Ham, unbeaten away from home so far have enjoyed back-to-back wins on the road at Watford and Newport in the last seven days.

And the boss says that his team are now seeking to win their first home game of the season, with the Hammers having played just once at the LOS so far - an opening day defeat against reigning champions Manchester City.

"We've had to play three games in a row away, winning two and drawing one" he said during his pre-match press conference. "That gives us more confidence in what we we are doing.

"Now we must return here at home and try to win our first three points.

Pellegrini also insisted it is important that his squad continue to play with panache and a certain style, the sort which his various teams have become renowned over the years.

"For the fans, it's important," he added. "If you're a fan the first thing you want to see is your team winning. After that, there are different ways to do it.

"You can score one goal, sit back and try to finish the game but I don't think that's what the fans want to see. I think you can continue playing, try to score more goals and try to play attractive football so they can win the game but also enjoy it.

"I think the player are happy about that and I always ask them to enojy the game playing well."
