West Ham United's Grady Diangana has been called up to England's Under 21 squad for the first time.

Currently on loan at Championship side West Bromwich Albion, the 21-year-old has enjoyed a hugely successful start to the 2019/20 campaign with three goals in his first four matches for the high-flying Baggies.

And that form has been duly recognised by England boss Aidy Boothroyd, who today called up Diangana and Queens Park Rangers striker Eberechi Eze as replacements for injured duo Dwight McNeil of Burnley and Arsenal's Joe Willock.

The Young Lions are due to face Turkey in their opening game of the 2021 UEFA European U21 Championship qualifiers in Izmit this Friday, 6 September.

They return to England thereafter to face Kosovo at Hull City's KCOM Stadium on Monday 9 September.

Diangana will team up once again with fellow West Ham youngster Nathan Trott, currently on loan with League One AFC Wimbledon, who is one of three goalkeepers included in Boothroyd's latest squad.
