Five new signings took to the pitch at The Rush Green Stadium, Brosnan, Vetterlein, Baunach, Galabadaarachchi and Thomas all had the opportunity to show the West Ham fans what they could bring to the side next season.

16 year old academy graduate Wiktoria Kiszkis also made her Rush Green debut for Matt Beard's senior side.

West Ham started brightly with new signings Galabadaarachchi and Thomas exchanging passes on the half way line, before the former found Adriana Leon on the wing. The Canadian's cross was headed clear but only as far as youngster Wiktoria Kiszkis whose shot was cleared off the line by the Tottenham defence.

The home side continued to push to open the scoring when a poor clearance from the Tottenham defence found Galabadaarachchi who was a constant threat for the Hammers. The young Australian's burgeoning partnership with Martha Thomas continued as the pair exchanged passes before finding Cho So-Hyun who fired straight at Chloe Morgan in the Tottenham Hotspur goal.

The newly promoted away side were not prepared to sit back and had a chance themselves, Ria Percival bursting down the wing, playing in Lucy Quinn whose venomous shot flew over Courtney Brosnan's crossbar.

West Ham continued to search for a goal, new signing Katharina Baunach's free kick from the right was headed across goal by fellow newbie Laura Vetterlein with the ball just evading Tessel Middag at the far post.

West Ham finally had the lead they deserved when a ball over the top from Middag found the onrushing Thomas, the American striker controlled well before finishing with aplomb past Morgan in the Tottenham goal.

The home side took their lead and their performance into the second half, with Adriana Leon firing a free kick just over the bar. The pacey Canadian continued to impress, Martha Thomas won the ball in midfield and played in Leon, her initial shot was saved but she persevered to win the ball back, however Galabadaarachchi could only hit the Tottenham goalkeeper from her cross.

Tottenham found themselves back in the game when a long ball over the top caught out the West Ham defence, the West Ham goalkeeper was forced off of her line allowing the Tottenham forward to chip the ball over her. The home side rushed to clear but Tottenham substitute Addison managed to poke the ball over the line.

Tottenham shocked the home side with a winner on the 88th minute, Tottenham's Neville burst past the West Ham defence on the right wing before cutting back to Lucia Leon who shot past the West Ham goalkeeper to give their London rivals the win.

West Ham United will be hoping for a different result when the two meet in the league later this month.
