West Ham United skipper Mark Noble believes that West Ham can compete with the best the Premier League has to offer after the Irons extended their unbeaten run to six matches against Manchester United.

And the club captain, who was awarded the Sky Sports Man of the Match award attributed the victory in part to the "feelgood factor" that has developed as a result of that sequence of results.

"It's not just Manchester United, we played a really good Norwich team last time we were here," he said during his post-match interview. "We played really well so there's a feel good factor about the club at the minute.

"It makes it a little bit special when you get Manchester United at home and you perform like that. It's another clean sheet, that's three in a row now and a massive three points for us.

"It gives us the belief that we can compete with the top teams. There was a lot of chat about Manchester United competing for the Premier League this year.

"I know it's going to be a hard task because you've got two teams that are firing away in Man City and Liverpool, but we can compete with the best now with the squad that we've got here."

And Noble also issued special praise to goalscorer Aaron Cresswell, who was only in the side today as a result of Arthur Masuaku's red card at Aston Villa last Monday night.

"As Cress said, Arthur [Masuaku] has played well but he's come in and scored with a fantastic free kick," added the skipper. "Not just that, his performance today was first class - and three clean sheets in a row is very special."
