West Ham are one of two Premier League clubs said to be monitoring the progress of former Liverpool playmaker Suso.

According to reports from Italy, the Spanish international - who operates primary on the right wing but can also feature centrally - could leave the Serie A side during the forthcoming January transfer window.

And having recently parted company with his agent Alessandro Lucci, Milan are said to be ready to meet with Suso's new representative - once appointed - in order to discuss his immediate future at the club.

Having endured a difficult start to the 2019/20 campaign - which followed a summer in which he was first linked with a departure from the San Siro - the 25-year-old told Lucci that his services were no longer required.

However that hasn't prevented the FIFA agent, who is head of the WSA (World Soccer Agency), from wishing his former client best wishes for the future.

"We have enjoyed many positive years, facing new challenges and experiencing true emotions from a sporting and human point of view," said Lucci when news of the split was announced.

"Now our professional paths separate, but my esteem for the player and for the man will remain unchanged. Good luck Suso for your career and for your life out of the field, it was a pleasure to share this experience together."

Wolves are the other Premier League club reported to be interested in bringing Suso back to the Premier League.

* In other transfer news, Manchester United's Nemanja Matic is being touted as a possible January transfer target by West Ham.

The 31-year-old Serbian defensive midfielder could be on his way out of Old Trafford in the New Year having fallen down the pecking order behind the likes of Scott McTominay and Fred.

And some sources view the international as a viable, potential option for Manuel Pellegrini, who is desperate to strengthen his midfield options for the second half of the season.
