Mark Noble is set to return to West Ham's midfield for this weekend's Premier League clash with Tottenham.

Injured against Burnley in the 3-0 defeat before the international break, United's club captain was expected to be sidelined for a little longer.

However sources from inside the club indicate that Noble is hoping to have fully recovered from a twisted ankle in time to feature in some capacity against the north London side at the LOS this weekend.

Also hoping to return for the 154th competitive meeting between the two teams is Michail Antonio, who was also initially expected to be sidelined for much longer than is currently predicted.

Tottenham will of course arrive with a new manager in tow following the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino and almost instant replacement by Jose Mourinho, who had been without a club since being sacked by Manchester United in December 2018.

Mourinho's most recent visit to Stratford came in September 2018 when goals from Felipe Anderson, Marko Arnautovic and a Victor Lindelof own goal helped secure a 3-1 victory for Manuel Pellegrini's side.

The two teams have both been struggling of late, with Spurs - who go into the game two places above West Ham in 14th - having failed to record an away win in the Premier League since last season. Despite this, the visitors go into the game as favourites, according to Bettinglounge.co.uk.

Meanwhile the Hammers are without a win of any kind since beating Mourinho's former club Manchester United back in September - since when they have drawn two and lost five of their seven fixtures in all competitions.
