West Ham target Gedson Fernandes has completed his move to Tottenham.

The 20-year-old midfielder was involved in talks with West Ham last week but has rejected West Ham's advances in favour of a move to north London.

Fernandes has signed an 18-month loan deal with Hotspur - the same arrangement that was being offered to West Ham and at least one other London-based club (thought to be Chelsea).

Meanwhile West Ham's search for fresh faces with which to boost the squad ahead of the second half of the campaign continues - but only the return of Darren Randolph is close to being completed.

Despite concerns regarding his overall fitness, the Middlesbrough man is expected to tie up a return to London shortly - and could go straight into the team to face Everton at the LOS on Saturday.

The move is set to proceed after West Ham had a £7million bid for Cardiff stopper Neil Etheridge rejected. The 29-year-old was one of the highlights of City's Premier League campaign last season.

The Hammers have also been linked with a move for Fulham's Marcus Bettinelli in the last 24 hours.
