West Ham are just one of several Premier League clubs who have re-opened their training grounds in recent days.

Tottenham, Arsenal and Brighton have also confirmed that squad members are able to use their in-house facilities - even though the Government are yet to relax their policy on unnecessary journeys.

West Ham's Rush Green centre has been open since Monday although training is restricted to individual programmes, with no team activities taking place, while buildings at the complex remain off limits.

Players have also been instructed to bring their own equipment when they visit the ground, which is currently working with a skeleton staff.

"Access will be limited to one player at a time and all sessions will be in line with government guidelines around social distancing," a spokesman told The Times."Everyone’s safety and well-being is of of paramount importance.
"Players will travel alone, conduct their tailored programmes and then return home. No one will be granted access to the main building."

Other Premier League clubs are set to follow the aforementioned four clubs' example in the coming days, with the Premier League gearing up for a behind-closed-doors return to action some time in June.

It is yet to be determined whether matches will take place at the 20 clubs' home stadiums of at a central location; St George's Park - the FA's national football centre - has been mooted as a potential host for the remaining 92 Premier League fixtures.
