I've enjoyed every minute

Jordan Hugill has thanked his colleagues at Queens Park Rangers for making his season-long loan spell such an enjoyable one.

The 28-year-old forward was signed by West Ham more than two years ago but had barely featured for the Hammers before being shipped out on loan to Loftus Road at the beginning of the season.

And it was a reasonably productive one for the former Preston striker, who notched 15 goals in 41 appearances for the Rs during his time in west London, but is now on his way back to West Ham.

"So my loan officially comes to an end," Hugill wrote via twitter. "I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everybody associated with QPR.

"The staff, the players and the fans have been top class with me all year! I’ve enjoyed every minute of this loan and I hope I showed that on the pitch! Thank you."

Hugill, who cost West Ham £8million has two more years remaining on the four-year deal he signed in January 2018 when moving from North End - although a number of Rangers fans say they would be happy to see him back at the club next season.

"You've been a pleasure to watch," wrote Rangers fan Mark Flack. "You always gave 100 per cent. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful professional. Good luck for the future, you'll always get a warm welcome at Loftus Road."

And fellow supporter Johnny Pearl added: "Thanks for all you did for us Jordan. I would love to see you back here permanently!"
