West Ham extended their unbeaten Premier League run to four games after securing a point against Manchester City in today's lunchtime kick off.

A third goal of the campaign for Michail Antonio was enough to earn a point against a team who have won all of their previous visits to the London Olympic Stadium.

And David Moyes' side might consider themselves somewhat unfortunate not to have been awarded a penalty later in the half when goalscorer Antonio appeared to be tripped as he made his way into the penalty box.

In the end however the Hammers were forced to settle for a share of the spoils after substitute Phil Foden grabbed an equaliser for the visitors six minutes into the second half.

Yet it was another solid performance from the Hammers who followed wins against Leicester and Wolves with an encouraging point at Tottenham last weekend.

After surviving an early onslaught by the visitors, West Ham opened the scoring with their first effort on goal of the afternoon. Tomas Soucek did well to keep the ball in play on the right before pulling the ball back for compatriot Vladimir Coufal.

And the Czech full back's delivery found Antonio, lurking at the near post, who produced a stunning finish to register his third goal of the campaign.

Shortly after goalscorer Antonio was the victim of a late challenge which, on another day (or involving another team), may well have resulted in a spot kick. However it was decided by the VAR team that there wasn't enough in it to justify a penalty - even though he appeared to be tripped.

The visitors were unable to find a way through West Ham's well-drilled defence for the remainder of the half, but finally did so six minutes after the restart.

Foden, who had been introduced as a half time replacement for Sergio Ageuro popped up inside the box to beat the otherwise impeccable Lukasz Fabianski at his near post to level the scores and ultimately earn a point for City.
