Sebastien Haller's sixth goal of the season was enough to secure back-to-back wins for West Ham at Bramall Lane this afternoon.

The striker, only in the starting XI due to the injury to first choice forward Michail Antonio struck the winning goal 11 minutes into the second half to send West Ham up to eighth spot in the Premier League.

A fairly drab opening first half burst into life in the final ten minutes, after both sides had managed just one shot each on target. Tomas Soucek should've given West Ham the lead when left with only Ramsdale to beat from five yards out but missed the target completely.

McBurnie then forced a save from Lukazs Fabianski with a well-placed header before McGoldrick enjoyed the Blades' best chance of the half, but watched aghast as his header from inside the six-yard box rebounded off the post when it seemed easier to score.

But the crucial moment arrived 11 minutes after the restart when Pablo Fornals found Haller two yards outside the penalty box and the Ivory Coast international fired an unstoppable shot beyond Ramsdale, who did at least get a hand of the shot.

Haller could've doubled his tally for the day and West Ham's lead 20 minutes from time when he was presented with a great chance by Arthur Masuaku, but on this occasion the forward fluffed his lines.

And skipper Declan Rice couldn't have gone and closer to scoring three minutes later when his header beat Ramsdale, who was left standing, but not the crossbar.

Two minutes later the hosts should've levelled the scores when McBurnie was sent through one-on-one against Fabianski, but his shot crashed against the underside of the crossbar and away to safety.

It was a lucky escape for West Ham, who had been caught out for the first time in the game but no more than Moyes' side deserved for a performance that deserved all three points.

The win moved West Ham from 13th to eighth place in the Premier League, just six points behind current league leaders Tottenham.
