Declan Rice has been preparing for this weekend's daunting trip to Manchester City by taking to Reddit in order to answer a series of questions from supporters.

The current West Ham skipper was asked a series of questions by the fans ranging from who has been the biggest influence on his career to what is his favourite order at Nandos!

The full set of questions Rice responded to in the session may be seen below...

On the pitch...

Q: Being the captain on the pitch most of the time, what do you do to keep the team's motivation up when you are down a goal or more?

A: It's important to make sure we keep the belief. I try to be vocal and push the team on as much I can. I like the responsibility.

Q: I wanted to know who has been your biggest influence/who have you learned from the most from in developing your skills on the pitch?

A: It's got to be Mark Noble. No question.

Q: What effect did Lingard have in the dressing room?

A: Massive. He's a top player who's won big trophies and a player who's exactly what we need. He's shown that on the pitch, hasn't he.

Q: Just how nice is Tomas Soucek?

A: Honestly - he's the nicest person I've ever met! That is probably how I can put it. A top player and more importantly, a top person.

Q: Our actual goalkeepers aside, who in the squad could do a decent job between the sticks?

A: Michail Antonio. He's unreal actually, he does it in training quite a lot.

Q: If you could have your own unique goal music played when you score, what song would you choose?

A: 'Can't Tell me Nothing' by Kanye West. Ha, that would be so good. Imagine that playing in the stadium - that would be the one.

Q: Which players from the Academy are you most excited to see in the first team in the future?

A: Jamal Baptiste is a top young player. He's got everything it takes.

Q: If you could bring any one player from West Ham's history and put them in this current team, who would it be and why?

A: That's a great question. Paolo Di Canio, maybe. No, actually Bobby Moore. He was world class, a leader, so good on the ball, a good tackler and an England legend.

Q: What is your favourite West Ham chant?

A: I like the Arthur Masuaku song, you know. That one is good.

Q: Looking at Scott Parker at Fulham and the success of Kevin Nolan with the rest of the coaching team, do you think Mark Noble would make a good manager?

A: 100%. Even now he does little bits of coaching individually and helps out the players. He would be brilliant.

Q: Who has been the toughest player you have faced in your career so far?

A: Eden Hazard I think. His attacking play is insane. He's so strong and just everything you don't want to face as a midfielder. Seriously good.

Q: Name one player you have not played against that you would like to?

A: Cristiano Ronaldo. The great. He's just someone who has been an icon for years and it would be unbelievable to share a pitch with him.

Q: Who would be in your five-a-side team, from people you've played with?

A: If I did have a five-a-side team it would be Lukasz Fabianski in goal, Angelo Ogbonna at the back, me and Mason Mount [in midfield] and Harry Kane up front.

Off the pitch...

Q: Who's bromance is stronger - yours and Fredericks', or Soucek and Coufal?

A: Mine and Fredericks for sure. I would sprint over to him if he went down like Vlad did on Sunday. No one's touching my Ryan... ?

Q: What's your typical Nandos order?

A: Excellent question! Chicken wrap. Medium. Peri-salted chips. Garlic bread. Perinaise. Then you also peri tamer sauce. It's unbelievable if you've never had it. Also add in the the five wings at the start, you've got to!

Q: What’s been your favorite nickname you’ve heard? Or do you guys have your own banter names for each other on the training ground?

A: West Ham Clips' ones are good. He calls me the Basmati Billy Bonds, haha. Michail is Mark Henry as well, I like that one. They're all good to be fair.

Q: Who listens to the worst music at the club?

A: Craig Dawson. He listens to rock. Not good...
