West Ham manager David Moyes admitted that he was "massively concerned" as Wolves threatened to deny West Ham all three points following a spirited comeback - but was equally delighted by the 3-2 win which maintains West Ham's challenge for a Champions League spot.

A three-nil advantage was almost wiped out entirely for the second match in succession as Wolves threatened to emulate Arsenal's improbable revival in United's last outing a fortnight ago.

However West Ham managed to hold out on this occasion - just - to record the win which lifted them back above a trio of clubs and into fourth spot in the Premier League which left a relieved Moyes full of praise for his team.

"We're thrilled. We've bobbed in and out of it a couple of times this season so let's hope we can do everything we can to stay there," he said during his post-match press conference.

"The team's been playing great this season. Declan's been part of that but the team's been doing great. We talk about the team more than individuals, we recognise we've got some very good individual players but we're more interested in how the team performs and we didn't half do great tonight.

"I was massively concerned [by Wolves' comeback] but we just about got away with it tonight so good on us, that's an improvement on the last one. It was tough, we played well in periods of the game but so did Wolves. They have good players and are a good team."

Although on the subject of individual performances, Moyes admitted that few were as good as that of Jesse Lingard, who scored his sixth goal in eight appearances for West Ham while providing a third assist.

"Jesse was fantastic tonight," beamed the boss. "For 20 or 30 minutes he was incredible and then for the rest of it he was a great team player for us.

"He helped do all the jobs that we needed to do to hang on in the game at different times so I'm really pleased. I told him how well he'd played when he came off so he deserves it. There's a boy out there who's trying to prove exactly what he is. Jesse's trying to do that and he's making a good go of it."
